Detailed Itinerary:-

Day 01: Delhi Arrival

On your arrival at Delhi international airport, you will be met by our company representative. You will be transferred to the car and drive to the hotel. Check-in the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 02: Delhi – Agra and overnight train to Gonda

Have breakfast at the hotel and drive to Agra. On arrival, check-in the hotel for short relax. Later visit Agra Fort – This monument is built in red sandstone and located on the banks of Yamuna river. Also known as “walled city”, this monument was renovated by Mughal emperor Akbar and it took 8 years (1565-1573) to complete it. At the time of sunset, you will visit Taj Mahal – It was built by Mughal emperor Shahjahan in the memory of his beloved wife – Mumtaz Mahal. This monument is built of white marble and it took 20 years to complete it. On completion of the sightseeing, you will be dropped at Agra railway station to board your overnight train to Gonda.

Day 03: Gonda – Saravasti

On arrival at Gonda railway station, you leave for Saravasti. On arrival, check-in your hotel. Later visit Sravasti (Sahet-Mahet), capital of the ancient kingdom of Kosala, Jetvana Vihar, Buddhist Temple and an active centre for Buddhism. Overnight stay in hotel at Saravasti.

Day 04: Saravasti – Lumbini

Have breakfast at the hotel, then you will drive towards Lumbini. En Route visit Kapilavastu – it was in Kapilavastu’s opulent environs, that the holy soul of prince Siddhartha (Gautam Buddha) spent his childhood. Later drive towards Lumbini and on arrival check-in the hotel for relax. Later you will visit Sacred Gardens, Ashoka pillar and Lumbini Museum. Overnight stay in hotel at Lumbini.

Day 05: Lumbini – Kushinagar

Have breakfast at the hotel, then you will drive towards Kushinagar. On arrival, check-in the hotel for relax. Later you will visit Mahaparinirvana temple, Ramabhar Stupa, and Nirvana Stupa. Overnight stay in hotel at Kushinagar.

Day 06: Kushinagar – Varanasi

After having breakfast at the hotel, you will drive towards Varanasi. On arrival, check-in the hotel for relax. Later you will leave for excursion to Sarnath and visit the Buddhist temple and Stupa. Overnight stay in hotel at Varanasi.

Day 07: Varanasi

Early morning leave for a boat excursion on River Ganges to see the bathing Ghats and cremation site. After having breakfast at the hotel, you can walk through narrow alleys of the ancient city of Varanasi. Then visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Dashashwamedh Ghat and Assi Ghat. In the evening you can go for Aarti on the Banks of River Ganges. Overnight stay in hotel at Varanasi.

Day 08: Varanasi – Bodhgaya

After having breakfast at the hotel, you will drive towards Bodhgaya. On arrival, check-in the hotel for relax. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay in hotel at Bodhgaya.

Day 09: Bodhgaya

Have breakfast at the hotel, then you will leave for sightseeing in Bodhgaya. Visit Mahabodhi Temple, Bodhi Tree, Thai monastery, Muchalinda Lake and Great Buddha Statue. Overnight stay in hotel at Bodhgaya.

Day 10: Bodhgaya – Rajgir – Nalanda – Delhi

After having breakfast at the hotel, you will leave for Rajgir – the town where Buddha meditated and preached. On the way, you will visit Barabar caves, the oldest surviving rock-cut caves in India, mostly dating from the Maurya Empire (322 -185 BCE). On reaching Rajgir, you will visit Vishwa Shanti Stupa, Hot Springs and Pippala Caves. On completion of the sightseeing, you will drive towards Nalanda – the world’s oldest university founded in the 5th century. Later you will visit Nalanda University and Indasala caves. In the evening, you will drive back to Bodhgaya. Later you will be dropped at Gaya railway station to board your overnight train to Delhi.

Day 11 – Delhi and Departure

On arrival at Delhi railways station, you will drive towards your hotel. Check-in the hotel and have breakfast. Later you will visit Red Fort (Lal Qila)- Mughal emperor Shah Jahan began construction of the massive fort in 1638 and it was completed in 1648. The compound of this monument comprises of many buildings like the Diwan-I-Aam, Mumtaz Mahal, Rang Mahal, Khas Mahal and many others. Red Fort is also listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site. Humayun’s Tomb – This mausoleum was built in the year 1565 by Mughal emperor Humayun’s wife Haji Begum (Bega Begum). It was the first garden-tomb of the Indian subcontinent and has the grave of Mughal emperor Humayun. Jama Masjid – This mosque is also known as Masjid-i Jahan-Numa and was built in between 1644 – 1656 by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. Jama Masjid is the largest mosque in India and has a big courtyard, wherein 25,000 people can offer prayers at a single point of time. Qutub Minar- This UNESCO World Heritage Site is the second largest minaret in India and was built in 1192 by Qutab-ud-din Aibak. It is 240 feet (73 meter) tall and first three storeys are made of red sandstone; the fourth and fifth storeys are of marble and red sandstone. In the evening, explore Chandhi Chowk and Khari Baoli market by taking a rickshaw ride. On completion of the sightseeing, you will be dropped at airport to board your international flight to home or next destination.
