Umaid Bhawan Palace

This Palace is considered as one of the world’s largest private residences and has 347 rooms. The foundation of Umaid Bhawan Palace was laid by Maharaja Umaid Singh in 1929 and was completed in 1943. It is built of yellow sandstone and divided into 3 parts, i.e. a heritage hotel, residence of royal highness and a museum. This Palace is a magnificent fusion of Indian architectural elements with western technology.

Jaswant Thada

This cenotaph was built in 1899 by Maharaja Sardar Singh to honor his father Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Jaswant Thada is built of intricately carved sheets of marble that emit a warm glow when the sun rays fall on them. This memorial is constructed in the form of a temple with extraordinary sculptures, frescos, domes and pillars.

Mehrangarh Fort

This fort was constructed in 1459 by Rao Jodha and regarded as one of the largest forts in India. Mehrangarh Fort is situated on a 150 meter high hill and comprised of Maharaja’s palace, many temples and extensive gardens. The main highlights of this fort are Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Chamunda Mataji Temple and many others. It also has a very big museum that is comprised of a big collection of firearms, paintings and costumes.
